About the event
Join WWf(a)C facilitators Allison Distler and Kim Evans for a soulful weekend writing retreat in the heart of Indiana’s tranquil natural beauty. Our autumn retreat at the Oakwood Center will include familiar large and small group writing practices as well as kinship with the natural elements of fire, water, earth, and air. How can nature support our creative writing practice? How does our writing connect us with our true nature?
The Oakwood Center is located in Selma, Indiana, with wooded hiking trails, gardens, and access to the White River. Our retreat begins with dinner on Friday evening and ends with lunch on Sunday (6 meals total). During this retreat, we’ll have options to gather around the bonfire, as well as participate in an optional communal drum circle. We’ll enjoy 4 group circles, small group time, and options to gather around the bonfire and participate in a communal drum circle. We welcome women (18+), including women who are trans or non-binary, of all experience levels to join us for this weekend of writing and renewal.
